Sixth-Annual Santa’s workshop

The Waco Central Texas Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, sponsored its sixth-annual Santa’s workshop at the Doris Miller Y in Waco. The event included refreshments, pictures with Santa, storytelling and crafts. 

The event was free for children of all ages. 

The Links, Inc. founded in 1946, is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.  

The Waco Chapter of the Links, Inc, was founded in 1974 and is proud to be a contributing member of the Central Texas community.

Bullies Aren't Tolerated!

The Waco Central Texas Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted our third annual "B.A.T." program at the Liberty Hills Middle School in Killeen, Texas, on Saturday, May 14th.

 Students in the 6-8th grades participated in a 4 hr workshop on recognizing and defusing bullying! Workshop presenters included 2 local police officers, counselors and students. 

The morning was insightful, educational and cathartic as the attendees and their parents addressed feelings about being bullied, being a bully and being a bystander while others were bullied. ‪#‎WacoCTlinks‬ ‪#‎WALinks‬ ‪#‎LinksInc‬

Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Health Awareness Month activities sponsored by the Waco Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, included a special presentation by Dr. Paula Pollei, a mental health professional.

Lupus Foundation of America's Walk to End Lupus

Members of the Waco Central Texas Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, had an awesome time participating in the 2016 Lupus Foundation of America's Walk to End Lupus Now. 

Proceeds will benefit lupus research and help increase awareness of lupus. An estimated 1.5 million Americans suffer from the impact of the disease. ‪#‎WALinks‬ ‪#‎linksinc‬ ‪#‎WacoCTlinks‬

Restoration Haven

Members of the Waco Central Texas Chapter of the Links, Incorporated volunteer several times each year at Restoration Haven. Restoration Haven, Inc. is a community support organization located in Waco, Texas. RHI has a vision to see at-risk communities restored.

Think Pink with The Links
